Xochitl is co-proprietor of Always a Bridesmaid Wedding Consultants, one of New York’s most sought after wedding planning firms. Xochitl is one of only 25 Accredited Bridal Consultants™ in the U.S. with the Association of Bridal Consultants and has been a featured wedding planner on the Style Networks’ “Whose Wedding is it Anyway?”
Xochitl has been called “one of New York’s top planners” by New York Magazine and is regularly featured in their Weddings issue. She has been a quoted expert for Martha Stewart Weddings, Bride’s, The Village Voice, Manhattan Bride, Reuters, and we has been consulting experts for Latina Magazine’s Weddings Issue as well as Real Simple Weddings, the wedding related book published by the lifestyle magazine. Bride’s New York, By Recommendation Only and the national edition of The Knot magazine, amongst other publications and websites, have featured her wedding event design work. Together with the Sheffield School, Xochitl created a popular distance learning course on wedding-planning to help aspiring planners across the country.
In December 2006, Xochitl created Always a Blogsmaid, a wedding blog that takes questions from readers about wedding planning dilemmas, and chronicle the ups and downs of life as a wedding planner. The blog has been widely noted by dozens of popular bridal blogs across the net for its wit, charm and usefulness and is a top wedding blog on Delightfulblogs.com. Xochitl also authors Nearly Wed, Real Simple’s wedding blog. Both blogs were recently named to Bride Tide’s top 100 blogs, (out of nearly 13 million). This year Xochitl will be speaking about her blog success at the Association of Bridal Consultants Business of Brides’ conference.
